Boxercise began in the UK in 1992 based upon training principles that have existed for over two hundred years. We train fitness instructors to teach the public Boxercise Classes and Personal Training, running over 300 training courses a year from 18 different venues in Europe. In the UK alone, over 1.2 million people take part in Boxercise classes (source: Mintel, 2006). The Boxercise course has developed age old training principles and adapted them to form a fun, addictive, safe, stress busting workout suitable for all ages and levels of ability.

Since 1994, the Cardio Athletic Kickbox workout format has been taught at Universities, Health Clubs and Corporate Fitness facilities throughout the United States, Greece, Germany, South Africa, Switzerland, and other countries.
The Cardio Athletic Kickbox workout smoothly incorporates athletics into the Kickboxing workout to create a new and unique workout experience. It is fun, energizing, and accommodates men and women at any fitness level from beginner to advanced. Low impact and lower intensity options are demonstrated throughout. Eversley and his team take you through an invigorating workout incorporating kicks, punches, elbows and knees, and combinations used in martial arts and boxing together with effective athletic drills.

Cardio Karaticise™ is based upon Shou’ Shu, a soft style form of Kung Fu. Because it is based upon a soft style it’s motions are soft and flowing rather than jerky and erratic. Having soft and flowing motions while using predominantly larger muscle groups, allows for a fantastic workout without the harmful effects of typical aerobics. Aside from Cardio Karaticise™, martial arts aerobics in general fall into the high impact category, if you are not in excellent shape already you may risk injury with many of the products on the market.

Having researched some of the aspects of martial arts and of boxing over a period of time, we found that there was more we could do for our members. There were certain techniques we could incorporate into our existing kickbox-style group fitness classes. We also found that in the rush to provide a kickbox-type course to instructors, many training organizations did not research the techniques and did not emphasize the safety aspects of this type of exercise thoroughly.
