A hula hoop is a toy hoop that is twirled around the waist, limbs, or neck. They are usually made of plastic, though they may also be made out of wood or other materials.
Although the exact origins of hula hoops are unknown, children and adults around the world have played with hoops, twirling, rolling and throwing them throughout history. Hula hoops for children generally measure approximately 28 inches in diameter, and those for adults around 40 inches. Traditional materials for hoops include willow, rattan (a flexible and strong vine), grapevines and stiff grasses. Today, they are often made of plastic tubing.

The ROM is very expensive in terms of money but it is very inexpensive in terms of time investment. The great expense in time required for conventional exercise programs keeps 92% of people from exercising. They slowly and gradually lose their health as a result of this lack of exercise. The short 4 minutes per day of ROM exercise is very manageable for the 92% of us who lack the time and discipline to do hours of exercise per week. We can not dictate to people how much their health is worth, that is a personal decision. We only know that illness is vastly more expensive than preventive health maintenance with the ROM.

An exercise ball is a ball constructed of elastic soft PVC with a diameter of approximately 35 to 85 centimeters (14 to 34 inches) and filled with air. The air pressure is changed by removing a valve stem and either filling with air or letting the ball deflate. It is most often used in physical therapy, athletic training and exercise.
